"I Bach:s trädgård"

Sommaren 1739 reser J S Bachs äldste son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, hem för att besöka sin familj i Leipzig. Med sig har han sin vän och musikerkollega från hovet, den berömde lutenisten Silvius Leopold Weiss. De stannar i fyra veckor och huset Bach fylls av kammarmusik och improvisation. Det är sannolikt då som det märkvärdiga verket BWV 1025 kommer till - en solosvit för luta som Weiss tidigare hade skrivit, tillfogas en överstämma av Bachs hand.

Med förvånande lekfullhet lägger Bach sig i Weiss verk - ömsom förstärkandes lutstämman, ömsom glänsandes själv...

Konsertprogrammet "I Bach:s trädgård" bjuder på detta verk samt andra verk av Johann Sebastian Bach och hans familjemedlemmar. 

"In Bach´s Garden"

In the summer of 1739, JS Bach's eldest son, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, travels home to visit his family in Leipzig. With him is his friend and musician colleague from the court, the famous lutenist Silvius Leopold Weiss. They stay for four weeks and the Bach house is filled with chamber music and improvisation. It is probably then that the remarkable work BWV 1025 comes into being - a solo suite for lute that Weiss had previously written, an upper part is added by Bach's hand.With surprising playfulness, Bach puts himself into Weiss's work - sometimes reinforcing the lute part, sometimes shining himself...

The concert program "In the Garden of Bach" offers this work as well as other works by Johann Sebastian Bach and his family members.

"Soft lute and sweet flute"

En resa med musik från riddartid,  renässans och fram till 1700-tal. Duon spelar på ett antal olika lutor och flöjter, som hör till de olika tidernas repertoar och klangideal.

Musik av exempelvis Ferrabosco, Dowland, Van Eyck, Kapsberger, Castello och Bach.

A journey with music from the time of the Knights, the Renaissance and up to the 18th century. The duo plays a number of different lutes and flutes, which belong to the repertoire and sound ideals of the different times.

Music by, for example, Ferrabosco, Dowland, Van Eyck, Kapsberger, Castello and Bach.

Om Dohyo Sol

Dohyo Sol har studerat luta vid Kungliga Musikhögskolan i Stockholm, Koninklijk Conservatorium i den Haag (Holland) samt vid Kongelige Danske Musikkonservatorium i Köpenhamn.

Dohyo spelar regelbundet med ensembler såsom Höör Barock, Camerata Öresund (DK), Göteborg Baroque och Concerto Copenhagen (DK). Han har även från sin teorb, dirigerat opera - L´Orfeo av C Monteverdi och Rappresentatione di Anima et di Corpo av E Cavalieri.  Dohyo har medverkat i flertalet operaproduktioner vid Malmö Opera, Det Kongelige Teater i Köpenhamn, Ulriksdals slottsteater ”Confidencen”, Folkoperan i Stockholm samt Göteborgsoperan.

Som solist, har Dohyo förkärlek för den tyska galanta barockmusiken samt ”the Golden age”,  som avser senrenässansen i England.

Dohyo har medverkat på ett 20-tal skivor som kammarmusiker, solist och som medlem i olika barockorkestrar.

2021 var Dohyo  “Årets Artist” i den ansedda Naestved Early Music Festival i Danmark.

About Dohyo Sol

Dohyo Sol has studied lute at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, Koninklijk Conservatorium in The Hague (Holland) and at the Royal Danske Musikkonservatorium in Copenhagen.

Dohyo plays regularly with ensembles such as Höör Barock, Camerata Öresund (DK), Göteborg Baroque and Concerto Copenhagen (DK). He has also,  from his theorb, conducted opera - L´Orfeo by C Monteverdi and Rappresentatione di Anima et di Corpo by E Cavalieri. Dohyo has participated in several opera productions at Malmö Opera, the Royal Theater in Copenhagen, Ulriksdal's castle theater "Confidencen", the Folk Opera in Stockholm and the Gothenburg Opera.

As a soloist, Dohyo has a fondness for German gallant baroque music as well as "the Golden age" - which includes the late Renaissance in England.

Dohyo has appeared on around 20 records as a chamber musician, soloist and as a member of various baroque orchestras.

In 2021, Dohyo was "Artist of the Year" in the prestigious Naestved Early Music Festival in Denmark.
